Sam Astbury

After joining the Target Fabrication Group from the University of York in 2013, Sam has been developing novel target technologies for HPL experiments such as cryogenic, tape-driven and liquid targetry systems.

Since 2020, he has been the Target Support leader for Gemini and EPAC whose responsibility spans the entire process – from proposal review, engaging with user groups throughout the planning process through to the characterisation and final delivery of targets.
